MC360 overview

The minCam MC360 is the full-size Rausch pan and tilt pipe inspection camera. The 50 mm SK50 head is one of the smallest pan and tilt heads on the market, which is what lets a push camera, rather than a crawler, look into joints and laterals in 3 in. to 16 in. lines. The reel carries 200 ft (60 m) of 9.2 mm push rod, with a 300 ft (90 m) version available, and the 8.4 in. control unit detaches so the operator steers from the access point.

Why the MC360

  • Pan and tilt in a 50 mm head. Endless 360° rotation and 150° tilt aim the camera at joints, laterals, cracks in the crown, and service connections without a second pass.
  • Roll-In Device option. The RID steers the head into lateral connections from the main so branch lines get inspected without opening another access point.
  • Joystick remote control. The operator steers the head and controls lighting from the access point while the reel stays where it was set down.
  • 200 ft (60 m) of 9.2 mm push rod, with a 300 ft (90 m) reel available. Turns 90° bends in 3 in. (80 mm) bore.
  • Pressure-tight to 6 bar (87 psi). The SK50 keeps working in flooded lines.
  • Dual-frequency sonde (512 Hz and 33 kHz). A standard locator finds the head from the surface so the crew can mark the defect after the visual call.
  • Detachable 8.4 in. sunlight-readable control unit. Records video and stills to SD card with distance and date in the frame; text generator with keyboard for annotation.
  • Interchangeable heads. Optional KK13, KK18, KK29SL, and KK55SL axial heads run on the same reel and control unit for lines the pan and tilt head cannot enter.
  • Stainless steel and carbon reel with an optional wheel set. Runs on interchangeable Li-ion batteries or AC.

What is the difference between the MC360 and the MC360 Compact?

Same SK50 head. The MC360 carries 200 ft or 300 ft of rod on a larger reel with an 8.4 in. control unit and an optional wheel set. The Compact carries 100 ft, uses a 7 in. control unit with WiFi as standard, and one person can carry it.
