Accepted Payment Methods
Payment in full in advance of shipment is AIT's standard term. The table below lists the ways payment may be made. Whether credit terms are available on a particular order is a separate question, addressed in the next section.
| Method | How to place the order | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase order | By email | Accepted only from a customer to whom AIT has extended credit in writing for that order. Not a standard term. |
| Credit card | Online or by phone | MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover. Not accepted for international orders. 3% processing fee over US$10,000 |
| Wire transfer | By phone | Bank fees are the customer's responsibility |
| Check | By phone or email | Goods ship on clearance unless credit terms are established |
All payments are in U.S. dollars.
Purchase Orders and Credit Terms
Payment in full in advance of shipment is AIT's standard term, and credit terms are not offered as a matter of course. AIT may, in its sole discretion, extend Net 30 terms on a particular order to an established customer following credit review, taking into account order size, payment history, trade and bank references, and financial condition. Any such approval applies only to the order for which it is given and is not an offer or commitment of credit on any other order. A purchase order is accepted as a payment method only from a customer to whom AIT has extended credit in writing for that order. Granting credit terms on one transaction does not obligate AIT to extend credit on any future transaction, and credit limits and payment terms may be reduced, suspended, or withdrawn at any time before shipment based on payment history, credit information, financial condition, or other commercially reasonable credit considerations.
Please allow 24 to 72 hours for verification. Banking and trade references are required to establish credit terms. Purchase orders with banking and trade references may be submitted online or emailed to sales@aitproducts.com.
Payment is not contingent on the customer's receipt of funds from any third party, prime contract, or end customer.
AIT may suspend performance, require payment in advance, or change credit terms at any time if in AIT's judgment the customer's financial condition or payment history warrants it. If a customer fails to honor its written payment commitments, AIT is released from its obligation to deliver.
Credit Cards
We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
- We do not allow multiple credit card payments for web orders. Split credit card payments are accepted for orders placed over the phone.
- Credit card authorization for the order total occurs at the time the order is placed.
- Credit cards are not accepted for international orders. International customers should use wire transfer or another approved method.
Processing fee on card payments over US$10,000
A processing fee of three percent (3%) applies to credit card payments on orders exceeding US$10,000. The fee reflects AIT's cost of card acceptance. It is disclosed before the payment is authorized and appears as a separate line item on the invoice and receipt.
The fee applies to credit cards only. It is never applied to debit cards, prepaid cards, wire transfers, checks, or approved purchase orders. Where applicable state law or payment card network rules cap or prohibit such a fee, AIT will charge the lesser amount permitted or no fee at all, as applicable. In no event will the fee exceed three percent (3%), AIT's cost of acceptance, or the maximum permitted by applicable law and card network rules, whichever is lowest.
To avoid this fee on an order over US$10,000, pay by wire transfer, check, or approved purchase order.
Wire Transfer
You may place an order by phone and pay via wire transfer. Contact sales@aitproducts.com or call (321) 610-8977 for wire instructions.
WIRE FRAUD WARNING. AIT's banking instructions do not change by unsolicited email. If you receive a message claiming that AIT's bank, account number, routing information, or beneficiary details have changed, do not send funds until you independently verify the instructions by calling AIT at (321) 610-8977, the number published on aitproducts.com. Do not use a phone number supplied in the message itself. AIT is not responsible for funds transmitted to an unauthorized third party as a result of fraudulent instructions not issued by AIT, except to the extent required by applicable law.
Additional bank fees that may apply are the sole responsibility of the customer, including intermediary bank fees and currency conversion charges. Payment must be received in full in U.S. dollars net of all such fees.
The order number must be noted on the wire transfer in order to ensure the proper application of the funds to your transaction. AIT is not responsible for delays in order processing caused by wires that cannot be matched to an order.
Late Payments
Past due balances are subject to a late charge of one and one-half percent (1.5%) per month, or the maximum rate permitted by applicable law, whichever is less.
The customer shall pay all costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, at trial and on appeal, whether or not suit is filed.
The customer may not withhold or set off any amount on account of any dispute.
Taxes, Duties, and Tariffs
Prices are exclusive of all sales, use, excise, value-added, and similar taxes, and of all duties, tariffs, customs charges, brokerage fees, and other governmental levies. The customer is responsible for all such amounts.
Orders shipped within Florida are subject to Florida state and local sales tax, including on shipping charges. Customers claiming exemption must furnish complete and accurate exemption documentation before invoicing. Customers are responsible for any tax later assessed against AIT on a transaction. Acceptance of an exemption certificate by AIT is not a determination by AIT that the transaction is legally exempt. The customer remains responsible for taxes, penalties, interest, or other amounts assessed as a result of inaccurate, incomplete, expired, or invalid exemption information it supplies.
Title and Security Interest
Notwithstanding passage of risk of loss on delivery to the carrier, AIT retains title to the goods, and the customer grants AIT Products, LLC a purchase-money security interest in the goods and their proceeds, until the purchase price is paid in full. Full terms are in Section 4 of the Standard Terms of Sale.
