Insertion of a flexible borescope can be made difficult by the geometry of the passage; diameter, bends material and obstructions. It is important to select a flexible borescope that can successfuly navigate the aplication without damage. Flexible borescopes have a minimum bending radius that the working length of the borescope can bend without damge. Typically, the smaller the diameter of the working length the smaller the minimum beding radius of the flexible borescope of fiberscope. The smallest bending radius for a flexible borescope or fiberscope is just 6mm (.236 in.).
