Push Cameras Used to Look for Blockages in Industrial Pipes

Push cameras or pipe inspection cameras are frequently used to inspect industrial pipes for blockages. Industrial lines can become blocked due to build up of scale deposits, loose parts becoming trapped or collapse in underground industrial waste lines. Remote visual inspection of the pipe lines is typically done with long push cameras that can be pushed down the pipes until the blockage is discovered.

Push Cameras are water proof and resistant to most industrial chemicals. A push camera is able to navigate lengths of pipe up to 200 feet and record the condition of the interior of the pipe. When blockage is discovered the operator can either use the footage counter to estimate the location of the problem or use a radio locator to exactly locate the camera head. Many large plants own push or pipe inspection cameras for these applications. Pipe camera rentals are also available.
