The Videoscope Rigidizer is used for applications where a rigid videoscope working length is desirable
• Turbine inspections require a side view videoscope to view turbine blades as they rotate. The videoscope rigidizer makes it easier for the inspector position the videoscope and limit the risk of damaging the videoscope by accidentally bending in the path of the blades.
• The Rigidizer can be used as a guide tube to move the flexible portion of the scope past a void or to position the scope to reach a difficult inspection area.
• Pipe inspections find the rigidizer to use as a handle to rotate the length of the videoscope. For example purity weld inspectors need to rotate a videoscope 180° to inspect orbital welds in pipes. The rigidizer hand grip allows orbital weld inspectors to easily rotate the scope, even long videoscopes, and more quickly complete their inspection.
