Rigid Borescopes are used in the following applications:

• Foundries:

Rigid Borescopes are perfectly suited for the internal visual inspection of castings. Quality Control Technician can search for foreign debris and view surface quality.

• Automotive:

borescopes allow Automotive Technicians to inspect cylinder walls, valve deposits, fuel injectors and various engine components for cracks, fluid leaks, carbon deposits and imperfections in hard-to-see interiors of engines, transmissions and fuel injectors. Other automotive and diesel parts require that Critical castings must be inspected for core sand and other surface defects.

• Locksmiths:

Small diameter borescopes allow locksmiths to view the internal components of a lock and make the drilling and resealing process more efficient.

• Gunsmiths:

Rigid Borescopes are used to inspect the internal surfaces of gun barrels for wear marks, pitting, corrosion and foreign debris.

• Aerospace Parts Manufacturing:

Borescopes are used for visual inspection of a variety of mission critical aviation parts.

• Fuel Systems:

Borescopes quickly and easily inspect fuel injector nozzles, bodies, pumps, and lines.
Hydraulics: Inspect valves, manifolds, cylinders, and sleeves.

• Metal Machining:

Inspect complex metal machined parts for burrs and other defects even in deep bores, complex castings, and curved tubes.

• Quality Control:

Inspect interior cavities and cross holes for burrs and surface finish.

• Manufacturing:

Inside diameter of tubing and pipe, Casting inspection, Internal surface finish of machined components, Internal weld inspections, Excess porosity in cast molded components, Burrs left after drilling intersecting holes, Internal alignment of critical components, Evaluation of circuit boards without disassembly, Inspect for the presence of corrosion and other contaminants in a closed process system.

• Engine Inspection:

Large diesel and natural gas engines, Auto engines are viewed to find bad valves, scoring of the cylinder wall, cracked pistons, bad head gaskets and valve deposits.
